Restoration of the Driefontein Farm House

The Driefontein Farm House was built in 1906. It is one of the oldest buildings in the greater Sandton area of Johannesburg and was part of the original Highveld farm named Driefontein.  Located on the outskirts of the newly established town of Johannesburg the farm provided produce to the cities market.  It was eventually absorbed into the suburban and the building donated to the city in 1989.  After falling into disrepair the building was restored in 2016 for lease by the city to community organisations and NGO’s.
